I Choose Life

An oldie, but a goodie - work life balance. I am very passionate about the topic of work life balance; what it really means, whether it is achievable, the consequences without it. In fact, you can take a free online work life balance survey which I spent several years building.

What a funny saying ' work life balance'. It suggests that there are just two things; go to work and have a life. Yet when we use a wheel of life we k… Continue

Are you running a Coaching business?

I'm going through one of those periods where no matter what seminar or event I go to, or what book I pick up to read, I seem to be getting the same lesson. I keep getting reminded of the difference between running a business and being self employed within your own business.

In E-Myth, Gerber explains that the trap of a business owner is in getting stuck in the Technician side of the work and not getting time to be an Entrepreneur.

We all know the saying ' work on your business and not in your… Continue

Will High Court ruling change our roles?

Last week in Australia there was a High Court ruling that will have an impact on all future liability cases. Here is the situation in brief: Man rides to pub on his motorbike, man has a few drinks, keys to motorbike are handed over to bartender, man has more drinks, bartender gives man back his keys to motorbike, man gets on motorbike and dies in fatal road accident.

Now I am not clear on the details of who said or did what - and even these facts as I have printed may be incorrect - but the ess… Continue

Conference 2010 Confirmed

Hi Coaches

Great news, we've confirmed our Conference for 2010. Melbourne on 29th and 30th April.
We have also started working on a showbag which we'll give to all attendees which will be jam packed with resources for Coaches and we will ensure that the value of the showbag exceeds the cost of your ticket to the conference.

Right now we are busy confirming the speakers and the sponsors, so we wont have the full details for the event until December. But I already know it's going to be a little… Continue

Hey Sally. I'm not sure! On the GCC site, there is a "Groups" heading which isn't on yours, so it must be something to do with the way the site's set up. As yours is also a Ning site (I'd never heard of Ning before GCC), I'm sure it could be on there somehow.. Ok, I just created my own one to find out. When you created your site, you had the option to add on headers by dragging them across to the site - add ons such as forums. Groups was one of these headers, so if you go into your site, click on Manage, then click on Features, then you should be able to add Groups to the site just by dragging it over to Layout and hey presto! Let me know if you get stuck!
